Airstreams Populate Vintage Trailer Park in Europe

We haven't done too many stories on the roadtrippin lifestyle in Europe, but this one was too intriguing to pass up.

The Belrepayre Airstream & Retro Trailerpark in the foothills of the Pyrenees near Mirepoix, France touts itself as the first vintage trailer park in Europe.

Exclusively for Airstreams, vintage caravans (what we call "trailers" in North America) and retro vehicles, the park was opened by Perry, a semi-retired English clown, and his French wife, Coline, five years ago.

Perry's love affair with Airstreams began 23 years ago when he bought one to live in while he was on the road with the circus.

The couple's park has room for guests to park their own vintage trailers or vans. But if you are traveling sans a vehicle, no problem.

Perry and Coline have nine of their uniquely decorated vintage Airstream trailers for rent and they will personally pick you up at the airport.

The piece de resistance of the trailerpark appears to be the Apollo Lounge. Yes, you can head to an Airstream retro bar where they serve tapas and wash it down with a cold beer or glass of vino.

The Belrepayre Airstream & Retro Trailerpark clearly deserves the nod from
