Top 5 Campsites (Most Scenic) on Road Trip to Yukon & Alaska

1. Meziadan Lake Provincial Park, BC

This is one of the most scenic campsites in the entire pacific northwest. But be warned – the mosquitoes are absolutely vicious.

2. Dease River Crossing RV & Campground, BC

If we had known how quiet it was here, and how inviting the campsites beside the lake were, we would have re-jigged our schedule so that we spent the night, instead of just having a picnic lunch

3. Oeanside RV Park, Haines, Alaska

Although the sites are tight in this parking lot'esque spot, and the big RVs aplenty, this campsite on the Haines Harbour has one of the best locations we saw the entire trip. Unfortunately, it was booked solid when we were there and we were forced up the road to Haines hitch-Up RV Park.

4. Moon Lake State Recreation Site, Tok, Alaska

Tok has several full-service, but bland, RV parks to choose. But if you are heading north to Fairbanks it is worth pushing through Tok 20 or so miles up the Alaksa Highway to this state campsite.

5. Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground, Iskut, British Columbia

Snow-capped mountains that tower over a splash of a lake that is good for moose sightings.
